Project FARM-SUCCESS

Web page: farmsuccess.eu

Family farms represent an important resource across Europe that helps to reduce unemployment rates, meet the demographic challenges of European agriculture and maintain and improve the social, economic and cultural sustainability of rural areas. A key factor in family farming is the succession process, as well as the tools and knowledge that young people need to cope with this. The FARM-SUCCESS project trains farmers for sustainable succession processes, empowers and motivates young farmers to continue their parents’ family business.

Main objectives and results

The project aims to provide young farmers with the necessary tools and knowledge for succession processes in family farming. Through the presentation and exchange of successful experiences of qualified young farmers motivated to continue their family business, the FARM-SUCCESS project aims to:

  • Develop innovative concepts and succession guidelines
  • Providing support in decision making during succession
  • Improving the economic and personal situation of young farmers
  • Improving the demographic situation in rural areas
